In keeping with the Tech Ed Party blog some things from the first party.

  • Lots of beer and wine being consumed, but I did not run into anyone too ridiculous.
  • 25th floor of the Marriott - way up there.  Killer view!
  • Food was weak (chips, cheese, brownies, fruit)

Met some MCT's from around the country.  That was nice.  Also got to meet the guys from PearsonVue (exams).  They have a competition for MCT's that sounds good, plus it gives the students 25% off discounts.  I plan to sign-up for that and help out all the test takers I can.

Tonight, it's the ineta party then off to catch Scott Hansleman on Code Generation for my first BOF.  After that if there is time its the Architect Road Rally

Other news:  My hotel sucks.  No Internet service.  So many roses and benches it feels like a retirement center.  The trolley only runs every 15 minutes to downtown.  If you are here for an event like TechEd stay as close to the action as you can.  Forget Mission Valley.
